Friends of the Orchestra
Over many years the COE has benefited from the support of a great range of corporate and individual Friends. The Gatsby Charitable Foundation has played a crucial role since the Orchestra was launched in 1981 and to this day continues to be its most important UK Friend.
Many others have been loyal supporters of the Orchestra’s activities, none more so than the Underwood Trust in the UK and the trusts of various American Friends who have given donations to the American Friends of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe based in New York.
While the majority of the Orchestra’s Friends come from the UK, over recent years we have been building a platform to enable our continental European Friends to join us, and we hope to encourage a wide range of individuals and companies to take an interest in our activities and provide that key element of support so vital to our future.
The COE is a registered British charity, number 283484, and therefore is able to take advantage of various tax concessions.
