Romana Kaiser

“The COE Academy has given me the wonderful opportunity to observe and experience the work of this exceptional orchestra.  I felt that the spirit of chamber music plays an important role in the orchestra’s attitude and gives the COE its unique warm and beautiful sound quality. I am very thankful that the COE shares its inspirational music-making with emerging professional musicians through its Academy scheme.”

The Swiss-German cellist Romana Kaiser has studied at Zurich University of the Arts and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her teachers were Susanne Basler, Thomas Grossenbacher and Richard Lester (COE Principal Cello). She holds a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy as well as Music Performance. Romana is currently playing with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
