Caroline Ferry, Personnel and Planning Manager
Caroline became Personnel and Planning Manager for the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in June 2017. She is responsible for managing the orchestra members and guests and works with the General Manager, Simon, on the artistic planning of the COE schedule. Drawn to COE by the special democratic and European nature of the orchestra as well as the extremely high level of music-making, Caroline enjoys travelling with the orchestra and meeting musicians from all over Europe and further afield.
A violinist and occasional composer, Caroline studied Music at the University of Manchester, where she began getting involved with the organisation of concerts and tours for the university music society. Upon graduating she worked for Morgensterns Diary Service and Presteigne Festival before moving onto Wigmore Hall, where she was involved in the planning of around 1000 concerts and events each year. When not on tour with COE Caroline continues to make music herself in London’s best amateur orchestras.
