Gert-Inge Andersson, Viola

Gert-Inge Andersson was a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe from 1997 to 2019, when he sadly passed away. Born in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1964, he studied viola with Professor Josef Kodousek at the Royal Conservatoire of Music in Copenhagen. Since finishing his studies, he has held positions in the Danish Quartet, the Esbjerg Ensemble and he is currently principal viola in the Royal Danish Orchestra and a member of the string trio “Gefion Strygetrio”.
