Rheingau Musik Festival 2021
24th July - 2nd August 2021

Programme

At the end of July, we will travel to Wiesbaden where in association with the Rheingau Musik Festival we have plans in place to present a “Festival within a Festival” – Summit of Strings 2021 – profiling 14 young soloists from the Kronberg Academy. We hope to be able to perform six concerts over three days, Friday 30th July at 5pm and 8pm, Saturday 31st July at 4pm and 7pm and Sunday 1st August at 4pm and 7pm at the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden with a different theme on each day. On 30th July, the theme will be ‘Romantic’ and the concerts will feature works by Schumann, Mendelssohn and Brahms. On 31st July, the theme will be ‘Viennese Classicism’ and we will perform works by Mozart, Schubert and Haydn. Finally, on 1st August, the theme will be ‘Baroque’ and will feature JS Bach, CPE Bach, Telemann and Vivaldi.

We are delighted to have this opportunity to appear at the Rheingau Musik Festival for the first time and look forward to meeting new friends from Wiesbaden and the region of Hessen. We look forward to developing our partnership with the Kronberg Academy and to shining a spotlight on our position as “Orchestra in Residence” at the soon to be completed Casals Forum in Kronberg. Let us hope that our plans can be brought to fruition.

If you can’t make it to the concerts in person, you can watch the livestream of all six concerts for free on Magenta Musik 360. For further details, please click here.
