Born in Wels 1961
Doublebass-studies at Vienna University of Music with Ludwig Streicher,
Diploma with distinction from the Secretary of State for Arts and Science 1986
Studies at Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Franco Petracchi

Chamber Orchestra of Europe (1983-85)
Vienna Symphony Orchestra (1985-87)
Bavarian State Orchestra Munich (Principal Doublebass 1987-89)

Since 1989 Principal Doublebass at Vienna State Opera Orchestra / Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra

Co-Founder of Ensemble Bassinstinct, active in contemporary and Chamber music.
