Ida Grøn, Viola (Associate)

Ida Grøn has been a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe since 2001.
She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with professors Josef Kodousek and Tim Frederiksen, performing her debut as a soloist in 1997. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Solo Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with professor Wolfram Christ. In 1996 she was awarded the prestigious Jacob Gade Prize. Following her studies, she became a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and also worked with the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Ida is a member of the danish ensemble for contemporary music Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, and also plays in the string sextet Copenhagen Classic (who have recorded on the EMI label). Since 2009, she has been a full-time member of the Royal Danish Orchestra.
As a soloist Ida has played with orchestras such as the Stockholm Chamber Orchestra, The Danish Chamber Orchestra and Copenhagen Philharmonic.
