Angelo Montanaro
“Few words are possible to describe what I felt in the Schumann’s cycle in Paris. Music at the highest level from any single part of this magnificent orchestra. I really have to thank Romain Guyot for this opportunity to be with the Orchestra and sharing these moments with really special and nice musicians. I’ll always bring with me this memory, trying to have the same energy that I felt in the week with the COE.”
Angelo continues his studies at the “Haute Ecole de Musique” of Geneva under Thomas Fridlie and COE Principal Clarinetist, Romain Guyot. He has worked with a variety of conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Zubin Metha, Charles Dutoit, Frans Bruggen, Antonio Pappano, Valery Gergiev, Gianandrea Noseda, Jonathan Nott, Daniel Harding, Fruhbeck De Burgos. As soloist, he has performed Copland, Mozart and Spohr’s Concerts among others and worked with orchestras such as Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Orchestra Mozart, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Verbier Festival Orchestra, Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra dell’ Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Stresa Festival Orchestra.
