Sinead O’Halloran

“Getting the opportunity to work closely with the COE was extremely inspiring. COE has always been one of my favourite ensembles and I have always been struck by their enthusiasm, synergy and exquisite musicianship. Getting to experience this first hand under the baton of Maestro Bernard Haitink on such a beautiful programme of Mozart, Mahler and Wagner was a huge pleasure. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel most welcome and I really feel that I got a sense of what it is like to be on tour with the orchestra. As well as getting to share the stage with these wonderful musicians and soloists, I also had the opportunity to play chamber music with members of the orchestra and to have a lesson with Principal Cellist, Richard Lester. The whole week was such a special experience and I sincerely hope that the Academy will continue for many years to come.”
